Eleven soldiers on both sides are known dead and over 40 wounded after three days of artillery and small arms exchanges across a disputed section of the land border between Thailand and Cambodia. The conflict is over who owns a medieval Hindu temple complex.
Cambodia has been accusing the Thai side of using chemical and cluster munitions in the fighting. Thailand denies the charge.
United Nations head Ban Ki-moon has called on the sides to resolve the dispute by diplomatic means.
